Printmaking
Intaglio is an Italian word meaning to gouge or dig, I use a matrix (plate) of copper, zinc or polycarbonate for dryppoint engraving and some etching with acid materials to build my image. The matrix is then inked with eco-safe inks and carefully polished for each impression (print). I generally use Rives archival paper in my press and pull an edition of 20-25 images. Some prints are hand colored, making them totally unique.
